Event Details

In recognition of Sound Walk Sunday 2019, an event produced by London’s Museum of Walking which is being celebrated worldwide on Sunday, 01 September, we’re co-hosting this “special edition” soundwalk featuring Dafna Naphtali’s “Walkie Talkie Dream Angles” (2016).

Walkie Talkie Dream Angles is an electroacoustic composition traversing sonically interesting corners of the park to underscore the loss of quiet, past and future sounds, bringing a favorite urban environment to life, in a sonically unique and individual way. Processed pre-recorded environmental sounds are layered with voice, and some thoughtful strategizing about site-specific listening, interactivity and attention span.

As an added bonus, Ms. Naphtali will be on hand to discuss her process and motivation, and to guide the soundwalk.
